New a-ha album and film «True North» will out October 21th, 2022 via Sony Music. First single «I'm In» will be premiered on July 8th - together with promo video.

For «True North», first studio album since «Cast In Steel» (2015), a-ha chose a new unique approach. «True North» is not only a new album, but it's also a film capturing a-ha recording their new songs during November 2021 in Bodø, the Norwegian city located 90km above the Arctic Circle.

Elegiac and soaring «I'm In» is opening track for «True North».

«A song about total commitment and a show of support for someone who is troubled. Real commitment is a leap of faith. 11th studio album «True North» contain 12 tracks – six written by Magne, six by Paul – a-ha underline their commitment to the band by tackling something new.

«First, we had the idea to record a studio session live. Then, to film a studio session. That grew into more of a production with the Norwegian orchestra, the Arctic Philharmonic, who we have collaborated with.»

«True North» film feature a-ha performing and recording with the orchestra in the landscape around Bodø. Multidimensional film directed by Stian Andersen describes a narrative arc embodying the spirit of the new songs, showing how all of us are connected to the environment.
