Depeche Mode have announced the tracklisting for their eagerly anticipated 12th studio album «Sounds Of The Universe», released on April 20th in Europe, and April 21st in North America via Mute / EMI.
Alongside a standard CD format, Depeche Mode has announced that «Sounds Of The Universe» will also be released as a Special Edition CD+DVD, Deluxe Box Set, double vinyl LP and Digital Download.
Deluxe Box Set will include:
- 3 CDs containing the album (CD1), bonus songs and remixes (CD2), as well as 14 demos available exclusively (CD3) (first time in Depeche Mode's career!)
- DVD that will feature 3 films: «Making The Universe» (a behind-the scenes documentary about the recording of the album), «Usual Thing, Try And Get The Question In The Answer» (a conversation with the band discussing recording techniques, intercut with personal archive footage from previous album sessions) and «Sounds Of The Universe» (a short film featuring track by track with the band). The DVD will also include the promo video for the album's first single «Wrong» (directed by Patrick Daughters), plus 4 songs filmed live in the studio in December 2008 and a version of the album the album mixed in DTS 5.1 surround sound
- Two 84-page hardback books, one featuring the lyrics to all the songs from the «Sounds Of The Universe» sessions, accompanied by exclusive photography by Anton Corbijn. The second book will contain exclusive and candid studio photography by Daniel Miller, Ben Hillier, Luke Smith and Ferg Peterkin.
- 2 exclusive enamel badges, 1 poster, 5 artcards, sealed in a collectors envelope, 1 certificate of authenticity
Special Edition CD+DVD will include «Sounds Of The Universe» CD and DVD.
Double vinyl LP will include «Sounds Of The Universe» CD.

Groundbreaking electro legends Depeche Mode have announced North American cities and dates for their upcoming Tour Of The Universe, which will mark the group's most extensive outing in the region in several years. Kicking off in Toronto on July 24th, the band's 22-city North American Tour will cover both the US and Canada and hit most major markets across the continent. Tickets for select markets are set to go on sale on March 13th.

Electropop femmes fatales Client released new and hot download only single «Can You Feel», the first release ahead of the upcoming album «Command». The London trio have taken a slight twist this time and the music has become a little heavier, a little dirtier, a little more modern, but still just as elegant. The single is produced by Martin «Youth» Glover (The Verve, Primal Scream, Killing Joke, Paul McCartney, etc.) who also contributes on bass and guitar.
Client always offer many mixes and without any real surprise their music manages to seduce many to do them! «When Black Beats Blue» is a line from the song «Breathe» from Seabound's album «Double-Crosser». Band chose it as the album title because the idea of compiling an album of rare and unreleased tracks was in part sparked by two amazing but yet unreleased «Breathe» remixes. With rare material from 2001 through to 2008 and top notch remixers from the electronic genre, this release contains collaborations with HECQ, Forma Tadre, Haujobb, Mindless Faith and more. The «Domination» remix by Die Form is particularly worth mentioning because Seabound are the only band Die Form have ever remixed throughout their musical career. «Watching Over You (Live SF)» is now professionally mastered on CD for the first time and features Reagan Jones (Iris), recorded during the bands' joint US Tour in 2008.

Germans Funker Vogt are finally back with first ever live album, «Warzone K17» - it will out on April 21st via Metropolis in the US and on April 29th via SPV in Europe. Album was recorded in Berlin, Germany at the K17 venue, you can find 22 classic Funker Vogt tracks, from band's earliest hits («Thanks For Nothing» and «Black Hole») to their more recent club smashers («City Of Darkness» and «Child Soldier»).

[ 11.02.2009 ] - Sticky & Sweet Tour 2009Madonna's phenomenally successful Sticky & Sweet Tour, already the #1 Biggest Grossing Tour in history for a solo artist, will embark on another series of shows beginning July 4th in London. Stops will include appearances in never before played markets such as Werchter (Belgium), Marseille (France), Hamburg (Germany), Oslo (Norway), Helsinki (Finland), Tallinn (Estonia), Ljubljana (Slovenia) as well as stops in Romania, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria it was confirmed by Live Nation. Additional appearances by Madonna will include return visits after more than 15 years to Madrid, Gothenburg and Munich.
«This is a first for me. I've never extended a tour before. I'm excited to be going back on the road, visiting places I've never been and returning to places I love» commented Madonna about the new run of dates.
In 2008, the Sticky & Sweet Tour was seen by 2,350,285 fans in 58 cities. With record breaking ticket sales everywhere, including 650,000 tickets sold in her series of South American dates, 72,000 tickets at Zurich's Dübendorf Airfield - the largest audience ever assembled for a show in Switzerland, 75,000 tickets in London and four sell outs in New York's Madison Square Garden (60,364 tickets).
«This new run of dates will further solidify Madonna's position as one of the top selling touring artists of all time,» said Arthur Fogel, Live Nation's Chairman of Global Music and CEO of Global Touring/Artist Nation.
Special guest for Sticky & Sweet Tour 2009, Paul Oakenfold has long been one of the most important - if not the most important - name in modern club culture. He has remixed The Rolling Stones, U2, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dog, Muse, New Order, The Cure, Massive Attack and even Elvis Presley and produced The Happy Mondays. The two time Grammy nominee is in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the biggest DJ in the world. His new artist album, «Pop Killer» is due out later this year.

Assemblage 23 just released second volume of «Early, Rare, and Unreleased: 1988-1998» CD - on February 10th, 2009 via 23db Records. This is Limited Edition collection of the band's earliest works. As with the first volume, the CD contains unreleased material from Assemblage 23 going back as far as 1988, including the hard-to-find cover of Psychedlic Furs' «Love My Way», all re-recorded using the original sequences and equipment for maximum fidelity. This release will also be strictly limited to 1.000 copies.

Our favorite British Client are back! The stylish ladies with their skilful hands for electronic music are plunging us headlong into an addictive maelstrom of groovy minimal disco, mingled with the coolness of new wave and an unerring pop sensibility. Compared to the big scale cinemascope-sound of «Heartland», Client have returned to their very essence: «Command» is a raw and straightforward production dominated by analog synthesizers and minimal electro arrangements with full, club-friendly beats. Following the credo that less very often equals more, the trio has conjured up a highly versatile album from these basic ingredients. Bare bone dance tracks such as «Believe In You» or «Satisfaction» breathe the foggy air of trendy clubs, the sinister «Don’t Run» is a gripping little sonic angst scenario and songs like «Can You Feel» are perfect pop tunes.

Released on March 2nd (March 3rd in the US), the album will come in a standard format with 24 page booklet and in Digipak format. The digipak includes an extended booklet and the album’s companion film «Linear» by Anton Corbijn. A Limited Edition 64 page magazine will also be available, featuring the band in conversation with artist Catherine Owens, and new Anton Corbijn photographs. Also «No Line On The Horizon» will be released on 180gm vinyl.
The album cover artwork is an image of the sea meeting the sky by Japanese artist and photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto.

A new album by Diary Of Dreams is always exiting news. Their records are more than just music but rather small works of art.
«(if)» opens the 9th chapter of their dream diary, and already a few sound bites suffice to make sure: Once more the band has managed to invent themselves a new white still remaining true to their characteristic sound - a gripping tightrope walk they still master with light-handed perfection. The music of «(if)» is breathtaking and full of melodies, so honest, tender and exceptional it sends shivers down your spine.
Just as its predecessors, «(if)» will fascinate fans and critics alike, but will also polarize. The lyrics are there to be scrutinized and interpreted but should never be taken at face value. Diary Of Dreams offer a challenge to the academic, analyzing observer/listener. It's the expressed wish of the band to inspire their audience, to make their fans read between the lines and to encourage them to become creative themselves.
The compositions on «(if)» seem to be even more personal and profound, the charismatic voice of front man Adrian Hates even more versatile and the music even more eclectic.
Stylistically, Diary Of Dreams have used their typical range of sounds, but there is also something new and fresh to their 9th album, something sublime and mature a whole new chapter.
The band presented their last albums in 30 countries and can rely upon a strong fan base. With «(if)», they will continue on this path and are already planning a new world tour.
