A lot of news from Psyche - at the moment they are hard working on new remix album with working title «Everlasting». Psyche frontman Darin Huss also can be heard singing or remixing on some new albums of other artists over the next three months. Darin delivered a mix for track «Traveller» at Angels & Agony's «Unison» CD (Limited Edition) and guest vocal on «Life Is a Combat» at The Rorschach Garden's «Toy Factory» CD, he wrote lyrics and bring his vocals for song «Repent» at Brain Leisure's «Methods To Madness» CD, and also he will appear on the track «Fulfillment» of Controlled Collapse debut album «Injection».

«Demo Non-Stop», new Soft Cell compilation album, out via Some Bizarre on January 12th, 2007. After the «Bedsit Tapes» release of early tracks in 2005, this new compilation holds a collection of demos from the sessions of Soft Cell's multi-platinum selling debut «Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret» including an early version of the hit single «Say Hello, Wave Goodbye». Released in 1981 via Some Bizarre Records the album reached a cult status due to the worldwide success of its single «Tainted Love», a cover version of a little-known R&B song by Gloria Jones. The cover topped charts worldwide and became the best-selling British single of 1981 in the United States. The album continued to produce a string of Top-5 singles in the UK, including «Bedsitter», «Torch» and the before mentioned «Say Hello, Wave Goodbye».

Mute Records presents «Mute Audio Documents» Box Set - 128 tracks over 10 CDs, it is a unique insight into the musical development of the label and its artists, highlighting the influence, the success and, most importantly, the great music produced since its inception in 1978.
«Mute Audio Documents» is a collection of Mute's single releases from 1978 to 1984 and includes the first 4 double CD volumes of an ongoing series plus a 2CD rarities album exclusive to the box set. The series will feature all the a-side and b-side single tracks released by Mute in addition to album tracks by the artists for whom there were only album releases.
Mute emerged in the post-punk era. It was a new era of pop democracy, and anyone could make a record. You didn't even need to know three chords, according to Mute founder Daniel Miller. All you needed, he said, was an idea.
His idea was to create a classic of DIY pop – a double a-sided 7" single featuring the songs «T.V.O.D.» and «Warm Leatherette». He called himself The Normal, designed a sleeve with Letraset, stuck the name Mute on it, and accidentally started a record label.
You only have to listen to the music gathered on these 10 CDs to see how Mute became the blueprint for maverick independence and sonic adventurousness – a blueprint that countless labels follow to this day.

[ 18.01.2007 ] - «Year Zero» from Nine Inch NailsIndustrial rockers Nine Inch Nails has set «Year Zero» as the title of its new album, which is due out April 16th, 2007 and follows up 2005's «With Teeth». «It could be about the end of the world», the band's mastermind Trent Reznor wrote on the official NIN web site.
Reznor described the upcoming album's as «a collage of sound type of thing, not heavy in a metal guitar kind of way.» He added, «With this record I feel a lot less concerned about what people think about it — especially the dying record industry. I couldn't care less about that right now.» Reznor also revealed that the new effort is a concept album and «part of a bigger picture of a number of things I'm working on. Essentially I wrote the soundtrack to a movie that doesn't exist.»
Reznor said that most of the album was recorded «in hotel rooms around the world on laptops», with very few musicians beside himself and «maybe some surprise vocalists that pop up here and there.»
When asked why the new record took less than 2 years to arrive when the last one took 6, Reznor said, «I'm probably as surprised as some fans are (laughs). But really it's just a matter of discipline. When I was on the last tour, to keep myself busy I was just really hunkered down and was working on music the whole time, so this kept me in a creative mode and when I finished the tour I felt like I wasn't tired and wanted to keep at it.»
