As officially confirmed, female electronic duo Client will do some live appearances in Russia. They will perform on December 18th at «Playboy 50th Anniversary Party» in Moscow, and on December 20th (or 21th) in St Petersburg. Unfortunately seems that both parties will be private.

In other news: few weeks ago Kraftwerk performed at the EMA 2003 (MTV Europe Music Awards) - it was «Aero Dynamik» from their recent album «Tour de France Soundtracks».
The visual at stage was impressive, with video screens at background, bringing images of lyrics mixed with computer graphics effects. Band used the same wired frame clothes of 1998 Tour. 4 minutes long performance looks very futuristic.

[ 16.11.2003 ] - «Here and Now» - third single from ClientClient's third single, «Here and Now», will be released on December 8th on Toast Hawaii label. The five track CD single (cat. no.: CDTH004) includes the radio edit, new songs «Military Sex» and «Can't See Me Now» and remixes by Cicada and Moonbootica. The 12" (cat. no.: 12TH004) features two Cicada mixes, the Moonbootica mix plus an extended mix.

[ 15.11.2003 ] - Long awaited news from The Cure!Long awaited news from The Cure! On January 27th, 2004 the band will release a 4 disc boxset entitled «Join the Dots: B-Sides and Rarities, 1978-2001 (The Fiction Years)». Holding 71 tracks (more than 300 minutes!) the box expands on previous collections such as «Standing on the Beach - The Singles» by compiling all of the band's B-sides as well as rare and soundtrack material.
Remastered at London's Abbey Road Studios, Disc 1 features mostly B-sides of singles from the band's albums released from 1978 through 1987, while Disc 2 mixes covers, B-sides and promo songs from 1987 through 1992. The final 2 discs hold B-sides, soundtrack songs and covers from 1992 through 1996, and finally songs from 1996 through 2001. Also included is the «Lament» track, written for a Flexi-Pop magazine insert in 1982, and thus far only available on selected bootlegs. Furthermore included are 3 versions of the Doors' «Hello I Love You», a previously unreleased (but available on many bootlegs) live cover of Jimi Hendrix's «Purple Haze» and an acoustic take of «Just Say Yes» that appeared on a limited edition bonus disc from 2001's «Greatest Hits». Other covers included are Depeche Mode's «World in My Eyes» and David Bowie's «Young Americans». Soundtrack cuts were taken from «The Crow», «Judge Dredd» and «The X-Files».
The release will be accompanied by an 80 pages booklet.
The band is currently in the studio working on new album, set to release in Summer of 2004 via iam Records.
By the way, in next year band plan to re-release their entire catalog in a remastered version each time holding an additional disc of rare, live and previously unreleased material.

[ 04.11.2003 ] - Q&A session with Andrew FletchSome excerpts from Q&A session with Andrew Fletch after «101» video projection in Paris, October 20th:
Q: Will there be a new album with Depeche Mode? Is there a chance that you will be reunited again despite all the rumours spreading?
A: Martin has started to write some new songs and we're supposed to meet in mid-November also with Daniel Miller to see what it sounds like and hopefully we'll be in Studio for March /April 2004 hoping to release our new album for Spring 2005 followed by a Tour. Seeing again «101», I thinkit would be a very good idea to play again some of our old songs for the next tour.
Q: What about the remix album you mentionned some time ago will it be released?
A: Well we had about 19 hours of material to chose from, and we finally sumedall up to 2 CD's of our best remixes also including some remixes never released before. There will also be some new remixes done by nowadays remixers. All this should come out in April 2004.
Q: Do you think Martin will let Dave write some songs for the next album?
A: Well if David bring some songs that is good enough to fit in the album, yes. I had the chance to work with two of the best writers: Martin Gore and Vince Clarke, and I hardly imagine for the next albums Martin doing the music and Dave the lyrics, that wouldn't do it.
Q: What about Alan? After all he also contributed a lot into your work in the past?
A: Well it's true we do miss Alan all of us, but now he's away from everyone. Nobody in the group has news from him, the last time I saw him was 4 years at a Christmas party in Mute. I can understand that after being in Depeche Mode you would like to get away from all. But sadly nobody has any news from him.
Q: D.A. Pennebaker said back 1999 that during the «101» shooting he knew that a band member didn't have his keyboard plugged during the live performances is it true?
A: (laughing) well Penny (Pennebaker) isn't nice to reveal Alan's secret that way! Alan's gonna be angry now!
Q: Was it a band choice or any of you to not include subtitle for foreign languages on the «101» DVD? Did you record your commentaries all together?
A: Well I can't tell I mean I'm not in charge of those aspects, there isn't subtitle on the movie but there will be some on the bonuses with the audio commentary of the band members and the Pennebakers. Each of us , along with Pennebaker recorded individually our comments about «101» while we were watching it.

[ 04.11.2003 ] - Alan Wilder - back in music?«Capture», the brand new release by former Mute artist Paul Kendall and Olivia Louvel under name The Digital Intervention features arrangements by Alan Wilder. It's the first appearance of Alan Wilder in music since Recoil's highly acclaimed b>«Liquid» (2000) album. A few days work at the idylic studio of Alan Wilder bore the fruits for Alan's string arrangement on the track «Coma Idyllique». The track appeared on b>«Capture» which was released on October 7th via French label 0101 after seeing 4 releases of the The Parallel Series on Mute.

On December 7th, And One will perform a show in Italy at the Rainbow Club in Milan. The Rainbow Club is the largest disco club in Milan. Further information at www.rainbowclub.it.
Shortly after their German Tour in January 2004, And One will perform two shows in Spain - on February 6th, 2004, Barcelona and on February 7th, 2004, Madrid.
On March 7th, 2004 Wolfsheim will perform as the headliner at the Invitation Festival in Gent, Belgium. And One will perform as the co-headliner. For a complete info about festival go www.purplemoon.be.
